Welcome to the Sixbyeight exhibition website; We as a committee are grateful for the generosity of everyone who attended our charity art exhibition starting on the 11th November where patrons had the opportunity to purchase art from professional and amateur artists. We collated in excess of four hundred pieces of art all measuring 6×8″ which sold at £40 each and all signed on the reverse , so your purchase was unknown an ‘artistic gamble’, all proceeds from this event are being donated to Hop Skip and Jump. The first SixbyEight event was a stunning success and raised in excess of £25,000 for the Hop Skip and Jump southwest charity.
The private view held at the Bristol Gallery on the 11th November from 7pm was by invitation only and was a lively affair with everyone showing their generosity; this was followed by the open view on 12th-13th November from 10am – 5pm with a constant stream of buyers throughout the weekend.
The committee would again like to thank everyone who has been involved from the fantastic artists, both professional and amateur, who gave up their time to provide us with the brilliant paintings to the sponsors who helped us make this event all that it could be and finally the art buyers who gave so generously for such a wonderful cause.
